Second Reveal Swirlydoos

With my new kit in the house, I thought it was time to share
the rest of my projects I made with Swirlydoos
September's *Inspiration* kit

This card was made for our Card Challenge

That cute little bird is made with Martha Stewart Craft Clay.

A step by step tut, can be found HERE

And for this weeks challenge, I created these tags

I created these 2 out of my left over scraps of the *Inspiration*  Kit.
You can read all about this challenge and a step by step tut, HERE

And the last project I made with this incredible kit is this box:
(Warning Picture overload)
For the texture on top f the box, I did a little outside the box thinking!
I poured Gesso in a cup and added pieces of broken glass in it.
Mixed it fermly and added it to the top with a spatula.
Then after it dried (overnight) I added lots of mediums.
Spray inks - Pearl Ex brilliant gold powder mixed with Gesso etc. etc.

The big flower is handmade out of some fabrics. The frame, black corner, black roses and the white scroll on the bottom are all hand made too, using some molds and Martha Stewart's Craft Clay.

Onto the left side of the box:
This box has so many layers. I started with painting the box with black acrylic paint. Then a layer of Aleene's quick crackle and after it was dry I gave it a layer of white acrylic paint. Then all kind of colors of mist's. (Dylussion Spray ink - Lindy's Stamp Gang Moonshadow mist's)
When everything was dry (I was getting crazy on the drying times)
I added snippits of May Arts trim, Lace (I believe it is Prima's) and a Antique Key.

On this pictures you can spy most of the art mediums I used.

right side of the box and below is the back of the box.

I absolutely love how it turned out. And believe me, when I say that, in real life it even looks more beautiful!

oh wait........... I'm not done yet..... Surprise......
The box can be opened......

This box is the storage for a cute mini album, which I am about to show you, but first I would like to take a moment to show you the inside of the lid.

In the kit came these GORGEOUS Prima Wooden Doors and I really wanted to use these in a creative way and this is what I came up with.

Close up of the flowers that are on each side of the doors.

And this is what you get to see when you open the doors.
The cutest Prima Cherub.

Onto the mini

Pretty distressed huh!!! lol

The spine:

The back:

And the inside pages:

As you probably can see in the picture above.... pictures or tags can be tucked in, behind the script tag.

And another pocket behind the words.

Space for tags or pictures behind the flap.

Another pocket (bracket shape)

I think that these are my favorite pages.

That rose paper is only glued at the bottom, so it actually makes a huge pocket.

This tag can be opened for extra journaling or it can stay closed to tuck things in.

And tuck in room, on the center of these pages.

This charm came from an old necklace from my DD.

 another pocket.

And the last 2 pages

I hope you didn't fall asleep..... LOL

I really love, love, love this kit!!!!
Now I have got to run... the kit is waiting and I have to come up with something before reveal day.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!!
And thank you for your time and sweet comments!

hugs,
Paulien
