 Brass Shilling!!

You can find this kit, and add-ons, in the SWIRLYDOOS BOUTIQUE
These kits sell out fast, so grab yours a.s.a.p!!!!!

My first page is based on this month's sketch:

And here's my take on it:
Best Friends

And some close up's:

I used some glass beads for the center. Dropped some Glossy Accents on my flower first and then added the beads. I then placed a big glob (sp) of Glossy Accents right over the beads, and let it air dry. Those beads are going nowhere!

You are a winner
(I'm so proud of you)
There's a whole story behind this page. I won't bother you with the complete story, but this girl in the picture, is our youngest daughter. She has Autism and ADHD, and she worked SO harded this past year, with lots of therapies. She did an amazing job, and has learned so much. So YEAH... we are PROUD!!!!

Here are some close up's:

I had these big foam roses laying around and cut them in half. I used the bottom part as well. Those are the ones where the big metal beads are glued in.

I actually used a lid, from a jar, to put that beautiful teal flower in. I raised it a bit, using beads underneath.

I picked some leaves from my garden a few weeks back and put them to dry in between a book.
Before I put them to use, I added a layer of Multi Medium to both sides, to make them a little sturdier. (is that a word?, probably wrong spelled)

These metal thingies came from an old jeans, so don't go search for them, cause they are not by a scrapbook brand.

Cards and Tags
I so love all these beautiful papers in this kit. So many possibilities for fussy cutters!!!

And another one.....

Reversable Tag
Front
The big flower is handmade after a tutorial by Vicky Alberto, which you can find HERE!!!

and some close up's:
I love those Artisan Frames by Pink Paislee.

I colored my lace using Distress Reinkers.

And this is the Backside of the above tag.
I so love that beautiful stamp, that comes in the Main Kit.
Some close up's:

And this is my last tag for today.........
I used the Artisan Frames in a different way here. Colored them with the LuminArte Silk Acrylic Glaze, that comes in the Main Kit.

The Bling, that comes in the Main Kit, is sooooo awesome. I LOVE this color.

I cut one of the Artisan Frames up, and used it as a border.

I hope you enjoyed my projects.

Look at this Beautiful kit
*Au Naturale*
I simply couldn't stop creating with this kit, in fact I still am.
If you would like to get a kit yourself, take a peek in the BOUTIQUE
maybe there's one left.

My first project is based on this month's sketch.
and here's my take on it.

*Good looking Clothes*
Our sweet Dasha, got her (I don't know if I'm using the right words for it)
tubes removed, and when she woke up, she was biting at the stitches, so our vet gave her this, bathing suit looking thingie, that she needed to wear for 10 days. Poor thing.

*Miss Know It All*
This is probably one of my most favourite pictures of our middlest daughter.
The white background piece, is the packaging, those chipboard circles came in.

Aren't the butterflies gorgeous???? They come in the Main Kit!

*You - Clear Pillow Box*
front
In the Main kit came this beautiful felt embellishment by
I, however took it apart, and used it on multiple projects, like this clear pillow box.
The Petaloo flowers (I'm in love with these) were also in the main kit, as well as the Pink Paislee's tags.

I first Gesso-ed my felt bird cage and then rubbed Platinum stickles over it. After it dried, I gave it a layer of white puffy paint.

*Butterfly card*
I sometimes make cards without a sentiment. I love to have cards on hand. And when I need one,
I can add my sentiment then.

I love the muted colors of these Pink Paislee's papers. They work like a charm for me, and the bright Petaloo flower and the butterfly give this card just that little freshness.
I loved working with all the Pink Paislee's tags too.

The pompom trim is from our previous, Hello Beautiful, kit.
The little brown pearls came from my stash.

*Two little Birds*
Here's another one of my *On Hands Cards*.

The Swirly birdies are part of the felt embellishment that comes in the Main Kit.
I gesso-ed it first and then added some faux stitching here and there.
The birds got treated with a bit of puffy paint.

Also in the Main Kit came this Pink Paislee circle sheet and I just loved it!!!
For this card I cut a strip off, 1 circle more, then needed, cause I wanted it to bend a little, so that I was able to run some voile through it.

Again, I used some of the tags that came in the Main Kit.

*Sitting Pretty*
Whenever our dog get's a cookie, she jumps on this chair, and waits impatiently till she gets it.
I just love how Krissy always seems to know, what we wants in our kits. And she loads these kits with lots of goodies. I have used some stuff on here, that came in previous kits.

This flower is handmade, after a tutorial by, fellow DT member Vicky Alberto.
She made this tutorial for our NSD Challenges. You can find her tutorial right HERE

In our kit came a bag full of Pink Paislee's tags.
The buttons you see here, came in our previous kit, as well as the pompom trim.

I added some griddy texture to my page, by mixing Gesso and sand (from the beach)
together. I love how it turned out.

This lace, you see here, is also from a previous Swirlydoos kit.

You have until midnight, eastern time, on Friday 5/17 to complete the hop.
