vintage me

he hee...
that's the title of my next page.
Had to take a lot of pictures cause
I want to show you the texture of this page,
of how it looks in real life.

This is me, when I was 10 months old,
These pictures were taken in 1971,
in the home where I was born.

I started out with 2 pieces
of white cardstock. On the first piece
I stamped several images/text with
Versamark and I used white embossing powder
and heat setted it. Then I added several
colors of Distress ink. ( bundle sage - tumbled glass -
scattered straw - peeled paint and stormy sky )
Then I used the same stamps again, only this time
I used pumice stone - black archival and peeled paint.
My pp came out gorgeous,( at least, I think it did)
that's why I took many pictures,
in the hope you'll pick up the colors.

On the second piece of white cardstock I added
a layer Gesso and stamped in the wet Gesso.
(see picture below)


I added some color using glimmermist and let it dry.
Then stamped my Hex Net in black archival.



For the chipboard piece, (Dusty Attic) I cut it in 3 pieces,
dabbed gesso on it with my finger and then
sprinkled some glitter while the gesso was
still wet. let it air dry.




These flowers were hand dyed, using distress inks
and some perfect pearl mist. Then I added some
frosted lace stickles.



I really love the texture.





The title was hand written, on some
painters tape.

So.... anyone
can make their own patterend paper.
I really like to use stamps and this
resist technique.

what kind of bike do you prefer?

my daughter loves her
*grandma bike*
you know, the old fashion ones.

And when I saw a picture
Mireille Divjak took, of a snowed in
bike, I couldn't help myself, I had
to take a picture of my daughter's
beloved bike. She always wanted
that kind of bike, but with the
kilometers she has to make, wasn't it
the best option. Anyway...
her wish became reality, she got her bike.

I created the next page for her.










I know, it is a little over the top,
but it means much to her, so....

Just printed out some old photographs, for
my next page, which will be about
little me. he hee... I have mixed
feelings about them tho.

The weather here is quit lovely.
Sun is shining and it is not too cold either,
so I'll be outside for a little while.
longing for spring to be here soon!!

enjoying the previeuws

of Cha 2011
Wow... so many amazing stuff
coming out. I think, they better
get a scrapbook division in jail,
cause menn.... we have to deprive a bank,
to support our needs!!!! lol

I mean I love Tim Holtz his new
stampsets, distress stain, new paper
stash, new ideaology, not to mention
the new alteration dies.

timepiece collection too.

And so on. I simply can't name it all.
So many beautiful stuff.

We need to use up our stash
to make room for the new ones.
That's why... I came up with the
next quick cardset. Nothing
complicated, just cute, I think.

Sometimes you have those
AHA moments...

I was working on a page for
a sketch challenge, and it didn't
came together that easily.
(I tried on a lot of products and
my table was a mess)
When I came across a spool of
beaded wire in my stash, I
new, that it would fit perfectly.
I started to twist the wire, and
then made some swirls out of it,
I love how they came out.








I tucked the shaped, beaded wire swirls,
under my Prima felt, which got treated by
some Iridescent Medium. (Winsor&Newton)
Those silver skelet leaves I had in my
stash for a long time, and finally
opened up the package. I also did
some alcohol painting on the metal
embellishment. The title letters
were brown originally, so I gave
them a thin coat of acrylic paint,
to match the papers.


The next card, was so lovely to do.
Nothing fancy tho, but I like how it turned out.








I did some Gesso painting on the
chipboard frame and dabbed it on with my
finger to get some texture. heated up
with my heat tool and rubbed some
diamond stickles over it.
I also stamped a little text on the
organza ribbon using black Archival ink.

I hope you enjoyed looking to all the close ups
I always take so many pics of my projects, and
actually I don't know if there are just
too many..... I don't want to bore you.
