I have 2 more card to share, which are made with Swirlydoos July,

The Paper Doll kit

So here we go:

I left this masculine card blanco, cause I didn't have some one specific in mind.

I used some left over papers from Kaisercraft *The Lakehouse* line and some older Pink Paislee *Butterfly Garden*

Funny thing....

I created this card before CHA and I thought that the zipper thingy would look cool on this card.

After I did this card I saw Prima Marketing's previeuws and to my surprise I saw

Ingvild Bolme's zipper embellies. Of course hers are soooooo Beautiful and a total must have!



Used some Gesso on this card to add extra texture.

The flower was handmade. The petals were cut out of voile and colored with

multiple colors of Distress Ink. The center of the flower is a piece of an old necklace.

The sentiment was made by using the tiny alpha stickers from Kaisercraft.

Those beautiful pearls are also from Kaisercraft.

New Technique

Yep,
I recently discovered a new technique.

When I created the layout in the previous post.

I was in DESPERATE need of a Doily stamp. One I do NOT have in my stash.

So I came to the idea of making my own, Tattered Doily Stamp.

You already saw how it looked like on the layout I did, and today I created a card with it.

Country Rose (CHG)

Some of you may not know, what I'm talking about, as I say Country Rose.

Well, it is the name of this paperpad

It's a 6 x 6 paperpad from cArt-Us and it is so super cute.

my next projects were made with this gorgeous paper.

First up is a card.

 The base for my card was cut from cArt-Us white cardstock and I used the,

cArt-Us Scalloped Square Die set, to cut the frame for the bigger square. Glued a sweet rose paper behind it. The frame itself was treated with Tulip white Puffy Paint.

The top square was also treated with Puffy Paint and my sentiment was stamped with Ranger Archival ink (jet black) 

Here you can see upclose what an amazing texture this Puffy Paint gives.

On the right top I aged the paper, by spritzing some water on it, let it set for a few second and then I rubbed over it with my finger.

I took a strip of tule, which I glued (ruffled) down using hot glue. and placed my butterfly right on top.

The butterflies were covered in some Diamond Dust (glass glitter) and some Ranger's Diamond Stickles.

And here's another project I did with the paper from the pad.

I will quickly run you through the steps, to create this layout.

I started with a sheet of, 12 x 12 Coredinations white cardstock.

I hand cut the flowers (from 1 of the 6x6 papers that is in the pad.)

layered them out in groupings and I cut my frame using this die from cArt-Us:

I cut the frame twice, pop dotted it in between, for extra dimension.

I also traced the embossed lines with Tulip white Puffy Paint.

I added my brick wall by using a stencil from The Crafters Workshop.

I placed the stencil on my cardstock and got me some Gesso out, which I sponged over my stencil.

Then after the Gesso was dry, I added Puffy Paint to get some dimension on my bricks.

I layed my cutout flowers and frame back and decieded which flowers and embellies I would like to use. I find it easier to lay everything back in place to decide what colors I am going to use for the background.

Once I made up my mind, I add some extra details to the background with some stamping.

This time, I created my own tattered doily stamp.

(A technique I'll fill you in on, later this week)

I was quit happy with how it turned out.

I stamped it in a few spots, using Versamark clear embossing ink and Ranger's white embossing powder. Now I was ready to spray my colors to my page and do some dripping.

Here's a close up shot of the tattered doily stamp.

The silver splots you see on my background are splatters of Encaustic Wax.

And to give my background extra glim I used Iridescent Medium by Windsor & Newton.

Creative Hobby Groups.

Good Sunday morning!!

Today I want to share some projects I made for CHG.

They send me some gorgeous stuff to create with.

First up is a tag on which I will explain how I did the background.

First I cut my tag and bookplate using Tim Holtz Die Tag & Bookplates

I used cArt-Us white cardstock for the base of my tag.

Then I made my own stencil, by using the smallest scalloped die,

from this awesome cArt-Us scalloped square die set:

And here's my home made stencil.

I simply placed the little, square die, over and over again and run it through the Vagabond. I know it isn't perfect, but I like it anyway.

So I placed this stencil over my tag and sprayed it with Rangers Perfect Pearl Mist in kiwi, and dried it with my heat gun.

 For the top of my tag: I adorned it with some ribbons - crochetted flower -

Prima Marketing mini roses and some Ranger Diamond Stickles.

This GORGEOUS paper is from the cArt-Us paperpad Roses.  So sweet!

I glued the lace and pearls down using Beacon's 3 in 1 Craft Glue.

The bookplate was treated with Tulip white Puffy Paint and some

Iridescent Medium by Windsor & Newton.

To highlight the sentiment spot, I used some Gesso.

The next card was a real quicky!

I always like to have a few cards on hand, so I used a sentiment that can be handy at all times.

The base of my card was cut form cArt-Us white cardstock, as well as the distressed piece behind

 my center piece of paper. The papers are from the cArt-Us paperpad Roses.

I added some flat back pearls which I got over HERE

using Beacon's 3 in 1 Craft Glue.

I also placed some ribbon and eye-lashes trim along the sides.

I added a crochetted flower and hand made leaves.

This is how I created the center piece:

I cut out an oval shape using my craft knife. Then I wettened the paper and let it sit for 15 seconds.

The paper was now ready for shaping. I rolled and pinched the edges, until I was happy with the design. I then heat set it, using my heat gun.

and here's the last project for today:

I saved this plastic bottle for a while now and thought that it would be a great item to make a cute project. So..... save the trash ladies!!!! lol

I sanded the bottom part for a frosted look. Added 4 pieces of PP from the

cArt-Us paperpad Country Rose.

I punched some holes at the sides of each piece of paper and laced them together.

This little frame is originally a silver plastic frame.

I added white Gesso to it, and I covered the sides with Tulip white Puffy Paint.

On the lid I glued some pretty lace, using Beacon's 3 in 1 Craft Glue.

The little yellow roses are from Papermania, and the tiny leaves are from a faux plant.

The top of the lid was completely covered with lace. (cut in 3 pieces)

and adorned with some flowers and bling.

I hope you like these projects and picked up some idea's.

Ask your LSS for these products, cause they are so fun to work with.

more exciting challenges over @ Swirlydoos

That's right!!

We have many, many challenges over at Swirlydoos and yesterday

I posted a new challenge for our Card Adventure.

Shapes and fun things was on the agenda, and I do have to give credit

to Mr. Tim Holtz for the mini album.

I was browsing through his video tutorials, when I stumbled

at a lovely Valentine Mini Book.

I thought it was perfect for a Swirlydoos project.

All it takes is 1 sheet of PP and some left over scraps,

(flowers - lace - bling)

But you need to watch Tim's video first for knowing how to fold this album.

Here's how mine (3x3) album turned out.
