I have a few projects, which created for Swirlydoos, left and I'd like to share the cards I made, for Swirlydoos Card Adventure.

The flower is made of 6 doily's which are folded in 4 and glued to a cardstock circle.

Fun Changes

I put on some Gesso, placed my lace and Bo Bunny's ornament and sprinkled it with some fine glitter.

For the pearl swirls, I simply took some pearl strand and my glue gun, formed the pearl strand and glued it down.

In Swirlydoos main kit, came a GORGEOUS Bo Bunny stamp, so instead of using layers of paper, I stamped my design with Gesso and got it sprinkled with some fine glitter. This page also made me do a lot of fussy cutting and I really love the end result. Here are some close up"s:

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!
Hope this will be a GOOD one, with lots of love and luck, health and of course many creative moments.

These were my last projects of the year 2011

Now we are getting ready for a new year, full of new fresh creations.
My January Swirlydoos kit, is on it's way and I can't wait to play with the new goodies!!! Make sure you stop by at Swirlydoos. We have some new AMAZING DT members and wow.... these girls are bursting with idea's.

Merry Christmas everyone

A quick post.

I'm held up in scrapping lately because of my husband still at home, with his broken ankle. Recovery doen't go smoothly. When they removed the stitches from the second surgery, (four weeks ago)
a few hours later, the wound opened up and well.... it got bigger and bigger in the last 4 weeks, and of course got infected. He is on meds and negative pressure therapy and the doc told us that he is going to need another surgery. So....
This is why I am not much around on the boards and haven't uploaded any of the tags I made, during the *12 tags of Christmas* by Tim Holtz.
I still have to finish my day 12 tag, but hey.... the Christmas tree needed to be trimmed too. lol Anyway... here are my tags.

12 tags of Christmas day 5 & 6

Day 5... my heart sunk as I saw that Tim used his reflections stamps.
I was so mad with myself that I didn't buy that set, cause I KNEW that he would use it for his 12 tags. darn... anyway.... I needed some time to think about how I would solve this "problem", cause I really wanted to do this technique. And then it hit me.... WHY thinking so hard...

just do the technique and instead of placing the inked side, of the acrylic, face down to the tag, I glued it with the inked side on front. As I said.... I do not have the reflection stamps, so I used my regular Christmas stamps. still love the outcome. I don't have the die for the branch either so I handcut my own from grungepaper.

Day 6....
When I saw Tim's tag posted, I wasn't to excited, cause I didn't had the products. No metal, not the embossing folder, and I didn't know how to solve this problem without ordering the stuf. But NO.... that I promissed myself... I'm not going to order anything. Just use the supplies I have.

So... I cut up the packaging of milk (the inside has a silver, metal-ish layer) and start emboss it, using several embossing folders. then cut is up in several parts and started to fill my manilla tag. Then did the same thing Tim did with this metal embossed plate. I really really LOVE the outcome. it looks like a wrinkled old tin... LOVE IT!!!

12 tags of Christmas day 3 and 4

day 3:

As you can tell, I didn't have the stamp Tim used, so I took some others. I also didn't have the embossing folder to give it a little more interest, that is why I did some heat embossing.

I also didn't have the holly die, so I went outside to find some real holly. I dabbed it with Distress Stain Picket Fence and added some Gesso and Diamond Dust to the edges.

This tag, needed some thinking since I don't have the dies Tim used.
my snowmen is handcut as well as the snow furries border. My crackle didn't come out the way I wanted, but then again... I loved the technique.

Tim Holtz is doing his 12 tags of Christmas again, and wow...
again he comes up with the most beautiful tags and amazing tips - trics and video tutorials.

I am a few days behind, so I will share my tags from day 1 and 2 today.

I found these cute little.... I don't even know what they are called, I call them pinecones, outside, when I was walking the dog.

As you can see, I didn't have all the stuff that Tim used, but then again... we need to use our imagination and take his tags as inspiration.

November reveal Swirlydoos!!!!

First I would like to say a BIG thank you, for all the sweet comments you left me. Today I'm gonna share a few of my projects, which were created with Swirlydoo's November Beau Jardin kit. I truly adore this kit with all the romantic stuff that is in it.
First up is a page, about my little nephew.
I know I scrapped this picture before, but it just stole my heart.

I used a mask to create the brick wall. I pulled out my white colorbox and then sprinkled it with Doodlbug white velvet. It looks so much better in real life.

These letters are from Petaloo. (color me crazy)
I first stamped the letters using archival, then inked them up with 3 colors distress ink, spritzed them with water and heat dry it. Then I added some glossy accents on several spots and sprikled them with Diamond Dust (glass glitter)

Here you can see, that I first added a thin layer of Gesso to the background and after it dried I added some Puffy Paint.

I added a butterfly to the pic to cover up the sunglasses. The Beautiful Dreamer sign, came off of the product-code strip from Glitz "Beautiful Dreamer" paper line.

For finishing touch, I rubbed some Chrystal Stickles all over my page.

Swirlydoos October reveal and....

I'll start with my pages, which I created with
Swirlydoos October *Midnight Waltz* kit.

First up is a page about Megan and our dog Dasha. They really are best friends and Dasha loves to lay her head down on Megan's shoulder.

Next page, I used a picture, which I took in Mondo Verde (theme parc)
and I used the sketch that came with the kit.

I added some Gesso - Crackle paint and then rubbed it with distress inks.
The DA frame was dabbed with acrylic paint, mixed with Gesso, and Another Dusty Attic piece was cut apart and used to make the swirls.

My last page for that month, I created with this beautiful deep red, embossed, die cut paper that came in the kit. I simply cut of some black and white strips that was on one sheet of the paper, added some lace and voila!!

In my previous post, I explained a little of why I haven't been around on blogger lately. I have been crafting in the meantime tho, and Swirlydoos had a few releases since. I'll start with posting my projects for Swirlydoos September *Rendezvous kit*
The first page is all about Ashley, of who we are so proud of.
She has come from a long way, and graduated earlier this year. The picture in my layout is taken whilst she was signing her documents.

This page has no title, cause all the little details are sybolic.
For example the word Amsterdam that is attached to the pic----- She had to make all her tests in Amsterdam, and signed her dimploma there.

euhm....

remember me???

It has been soooo long, since I was able to udate here.
I'm sorry guys, if I have let you down.
I'll try to get back in action ASAP!!!!!

The reason why I have been away so long, is health wise.
First, during our Summer holiday, I was a bit unlucky. Whilst a Hilarious day out, me and my DD fell. She fell on my foot, which got hurt very bad.
Until this day I'm still in therapy.
Then, when I was barely off of my crutches, my DH fell and broke his ankle in 2 spots. Talking about BAD LUCK HUH?!!
Kees had to have 2 times surgery and is now recovering and trying to walk aggain, with lots of therapy.
In the mean time SWIRLYDOOS has had 3 reveals (september - october - november)
and I'll post my creations here on the blog within the next few days.

As for my monthly tags.... Girls... I'm so so sorry to let you all down.
I'll pick that up as soon as possible and will do the missed ones.

I hope that you'll stop by at Swirlydoos, cause mennnnn there are so much fun challenges going on.

September's Tag

A very quick post from me today, cause it is our youngest daughter,
Megan her birthday. And we have some company over in let's say....
5 minutes or so.

So here's this month's tag:

Supplies needed: Ranger Craft tag - some old bookpages - 3 cut out butterflies - Tacky Glue - Sanding paper - Distress ink: Tumbled Glass, Bundle Sage, Spun Sugar, Frayed Burlap, Walnut stain
Embossing ink (I used Versamark) - Utee (clear) - Diamond Stickles
Voile or Organza - Lace - Painters tape or masking tape - Foam tape Ribbon or seambinding - Old key - Calender stamp or printed calender buttercup flower - Tweezers - Heat tool - Hot glue gun

Cut out 3 butterflies. Mine are almost 1.5 inch wide and a little under 1 inch high.

Cover you tag, completely with the old bookpages. I did mine in little pieces cause I like the texture. Sand your edges.

Give your tag some color, by using Tumbled Glass and Bundle Sage Distress ink. Distress the edges of your tag.

Cut a 2 circles, one of white cardstock and one out an old bookpage. The circles measure's 1.5 inch.
Glue them together and distress and ink the edges.

Glue 1 of the butterflies in the circle and cover the entire surface with embossing ink.
Poor some Utee over it and heat set it. Let it cool and get your tweezers out. Hold the butterfly with your tweezer and heat it again, while HOT, again poor some Utee over it. Repeat this till you have add 4 layers of Utee. Set it aside and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

On the 2 other butterflies... ink their edges ( I used Frayed Burlap) and get them a good cover of embossing ink and repeat the steps,
like you did with the butterfly on the circle. Again, let it cool.
That part is very important!!!

You'll now have something like this.

Take your, completly cooled down, circle with the butterfly on it and start bending it carefully. The circle will crack, like broken glass.
Work some Walnut Stain Distress ink, into the cracks.

Do the same with the other 2 butterflies.
(I must say, I saw this idea for the broken glass, from one of my dear friends Patti Hamil)

Cut a strip of voile or organza about 2 inches wide and 13 inches long.

Glue one end to the bottom of your tag.

We want to start to ruffle the voile. Add a little amount of hot glue, to the center of your tag. Flip your voile over it and start crawling with your fingers, working the voile towards you. It will give you an awesome ruffle.

Do this of the entire lenght of your tag.

Add some extra color to the background of your tag, by using Spun SUgar Distress ink and some more Bundle Sage.

Cut some pieces of lace, of the entire lenght of your tag.

Fold some of the voile back, and let a painters tape hold it in place.

Put a stripe of hot glue, and glue you lace down, like in the picture.
Repeat this step for the other side.

Till you have something that looks like this.

Put a strip of foamtape in the middle of your ruffle.

Take some ribbon ( I used seambinding) and run it through your tag. The front part will be sticking to the foam-adhesive.

Tie a bow, add some lace and glue an old key to your bow.

Stamp your calender. Cut the left bottom corner off.

These are the embellies I'm gonna used to complete this tag.

Add a small piece of lace across the bottom of your tag, and glue your calander in an angle to your tag.

Glue your circle-butterfly in the middle of your ribbon. Place one of the other butterflies, just a little under the bow.
You have now 1 butterfly left.

glue the last butterfly at the bottom and glue the rest of your embellies to your tag. For the final touch, I rubbed some Diamond stickles across my tag.

A quick post from me, from my camping spot.
My Swirlydoos kit came in after reveal day and I managed to create a few pages with it, and of course my tutorial card.
I hope to get some more time to create a few more cause I gotta say that Krissy's kits are simply JAM PACKED!!!!! with lots and lots of amazing stuff.

Our daughter, Ashley is going to be 18 in November and then she is allowed to start drivers lessons. While we were in a Theme park called Mondo Verde, we arrived to the Bumper Cars attraction and told her.... Show us what you've got. It was obvious she needs lots of practice...lol.

August Tag

This month's tag is a *FAST* one.
I've done this tag, from my camp spot since we are celebrating our
summer vacation. Kids, dog and husband around, and I thought,
you might find yourself in the same position.
So here we go:

Supplies needed: Ranger Craft tag 8# - Color Box white -
Clear embossing powder - Prima Chicken-Wire stamp -
Distress reinker: Spun Sugar, Bundle Sage and Worn Lipstick -
Distress ink Frayed Burlap - Iridescent Medium (Windsor & Newton)
or a Pearl Mist - lace - flowers & leaves - ornate plate -
Silver Stickles - White Puffy Paint - self adhesive pearls - hot gluegun - heat tool.

Take out a Craft tag and your Chicken-Wire stamp.
Ink your stamp up with a white pigment ink. I used Color box.
Stamp over your entire tag.

Pour some clear embossing powder over your stamped tag and heatset it.

Get some Spun Sugar(reinker)and a little Iridescent medium onto your craft sheet. Spray some water too and mix the mediums a little with a brush.

Get your tag all covered up. heat set it.

You could do a second layer to get an intenser color. Or even add a little Worn Lipstick (reinker)

Mix some Iridescent medium with a drop of Bundle Sage (reinker) and a few spritzes of water.

Paint a small doily (about 3 inc) with the shiny color mix. Heat dry it.

Make some pleads in your doily to create a rozette. Staple your center to stabilise. Set a side.

Add a thin strip of hot glue, at the left side of your tag. Add a piece of wide lace.

Do the same at the right side. I cut my lace a little too wide because I wanted to ruffle it a little. Glue your doily on top of it. Hanging off a little to the left.

Get another big flower of make one your own and glue it to your tag.

Take some scraps of white lace and glue them to your cluster, something like this.

Take an ornamental frame, (mine came from the Alterations Tag Die) and cover it with a thin layer of Puffy Paint.

Heat set it and add another layer (I added the second with my finger) and again heat set it.

Add some Frayed Burlap Distress ink to the outher edges.

Get another piece of lace and glue it to your tag.
Glue your ornamental frame, over the laces, to your tag and glue a little rose on it. Distress the edges of your tag.

Adorn your lace with some silver stickles and a few pearls or dewdrops.
Add your Month, in this case... August, to the ornamental frame.
Place some leaves at your cluster and ink up your tag, even over the tule, where it need some ink. Add your ribbon or lace at the top.
And you are done!

More Swirlydoos!!!!

Today I want to share another card with you which was
created from the July, Vintage Fae kit. I loved that kit so much!

The Chipboard scalloped circle is a DA piece, which was a gift from Jeni. Thank you girl!
The ornamental frame is from a Tim Holtz Alterations die, (it is on the tag die) and I treated it with some Puffy Paint and gold Paint Dabber.

July Tag

First I want to thank everyone who left a comment
on my Swirlydoos projects. I really appreciate that you all taking the time to do so.

This month's tag was rescheduled, because of my DT work.
But here it is:

supplies needed:
Ranger Craft tag - Border stamp (I used a Viva Decor one) Chandlelier stamp -
script stamp - Versa mark or distress embossing ink - Archival ink jet black -
White embossing powder - heatgun - Iridescent medium (Windsor&Newton)
or a pearlized glimmer mist - Distress ink: peeled paint and frayed burlap -
an Aqua mist (I made my own) Glossy Accents - Paint dabber silver -
Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint - Rock Candy Distress stickles -
Stickles: diamond and silver - a doily (4,5#) scrap of lace -
pearls or liquid pearls - Diamond Dust - 2 butterflies - hot glue gun.

Take your borderstamp and ink it up with a clear embossing ink, and stamp your border along the right side of your tag. Poor white embossing powder over it.

Tap it off and heatset it.

Take your Chandlelier stamp and stamp it at the right top of your tag, using Archival ink.
Take an aqua mist, or make your own, by using the next ingredients.

Put 8 drops of Distress re-inker Broken China in your mini mister.

Add a little scoop of Pearl-Ex micro powder, and fill your mister to just above the tiny R (from Ranger) with water. Shake well.

Spritz in a diagonal way over your tag, leave the top right and bottom left blanc.

Heat dry your tag.

Look at all that shimmer... I love it!!!!

Take your peeled paint inkpad and a blending tool.

Ink up the top right corner and bottom left.

Take your 4.5# doily and cut it in half. Make a straight cut...
you will see why in a minute.

Lay one piece over your tag. Make sure the sides are lined up. (mine is a little of, because I didn't cut straight)

Take your script stamp. Ink it up with Archival ink and stamp right over the doily and your tag, something like in the picture above.

When you lift up your stamp you have a great stamped script, on both your doily and your tag. We need that, cause we need to line it up together in a bit.

Take your doily off. Turn it up side down.

I like to recycle, so I cut a box up in little pieces and start to adhere that
to the back of the doily. I added 2 layers.
Sure I could have used foam tape but I didn't.

Glue your doily to your tag, make sure you're lined up with your stamped text.

Mix some Iridescent medium, water and a little amount of metalic silver paint.

Get the inside circle of your doily covered up with it. Heat set it and add some Frayed Burlap distress ink to age your doily.

Add, randomly, some drops of Glossy Accents to your tag.

Add some Diamond Dust (glas glitter) to the top and bottom of your doily. I used Glossy Accents to stick the glass down.

Cut out 2 sizes Butterflies. Cover them in a nice layer of Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint and let it dry.
Once dried, I rubbed some Frayed Burlap Distress Ink into the cracks of the wings.
And I even added a thin layer of Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

Look at that texture.

Glue your little butterfly on top of the bigger one.

I took a small thread and made some knots in the ends. Using this for antenna's

Glued the antenna's to the back of the butterflies.

Secured them with a little scrap of paper. Set your butterflies aside for later use.

Take a scrap of lace and a little bit of Silver metallic paint.

Cover your lace with the paint, but let the original color of the lace, shine through a bit. Let it dry.

Take your hot glue gun and glue the butterflies in place, onto your doily.

Glue your painted lace at the bottom of your tag and add some pearls, or liquid ones.

Also place some little pearls onto your stamped Chandlelier. I added some diamond stickles to the candles.

Put a row of silver stickles on your stamped border.

We are almost done now....

Look at the dimension

Now for the final touch:

Write the word July on a piece of paper. Distress it and ink the edges.
I glued my written *JULY* to a little piece of wood, which I also treated with some silver metallic paint. Glue it to your tag. And you are done.

It has been a while since I posted on my blog. Let's just say that I've been Mia.
Not really... but my energy has been put in other things for the last couple of weeks. The school year is almost over here, and our youngest will be leaving her school. So we are very busy to find her that new school. It has to be a school where she will be in place and feels comfortable.
anyhow.... I didn't do much crafting these past weeks, but I wanted to do my monthly tag. so here we go:

Lets do some recycling!!!!!

my dear friend Tracey Jackson gave me this idea. She is having an ATC swap on her shop website, and I like the idea, so I thought I would do some recycling and creative thinking too.

supplies needed: Ranger craft tag - piece of cardboard or old box - exacto knife - Gesso - white and gold acrylic paint - Iridescent medium or glimmer mist - white Puffy Paint - spray bottle of water - ink blending tool - distress inks: Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Frayed Burlap - Archival ink Jet Black and Coffee - script stamp - postcard stamp (the word that is) - chipboard or grungboard hingie - pearls & beads - lace - flowers - bubblewrap - double sided tape - sandpaper - twine - heatgun - hot gluegun - aluminium foil.

cut a heart shape from cardboard or from an old box.
height and width about 3 inches.

cut out the inside like this.

Paint the heart with some Gesso, let it dry or heat set it.
spritz lightly with water, let it absorb a bit, for a minute or 5 then sand it.
It will come out something like this.
Set it aside for later use.

now we are going to make our own distressed background stamp, by cuttin a piece of
bubble wrap ( 2.5 x 4.5#)

Get the backside covered with double sided adhesive

stick it to your acrylic block.

Get a needle out and try to create your pattern, by piercing into the bubbles you don't want to show. Press the air completely out.

get a piece of aluminium foil and add a blob of white acrylic paint in the middle of your foil.

fold the aluminium foil double and spread the paint between the layers, using your hand.

open it up and get your, just made, bubblewrap stamp. Wiggle a little through your paint and stamp on your tag.

I stamped mine at the top right and bottom left. let it dry or heat set it. The paint will resist the colors ink, which will be add, later on.

take a script stamp and stamp randomly some text on your tag, using Archival inks.
(archival inks are permanent, and allows you to ink right over it.

It will look something like this.

add some Tattered Rose distress ink using your ink blending tool.
I really love this color distress ink cause it has this lovely creamy teint

then add another layer pink, I used Spun Sugar for this layer. You will start to see the resisting of the paint.

you can even add a little Worn Lipstick to your tag for extra color. ( I always like to work with 3 shades of a color-group) It makes the white paint stand out a little more. When you feel you have add enough color, take a damp cloth and wipe it over your tag. Make sure the cloth is NOT WET just damp.

To give your tag a shimmer finish you can either use Glimmer mist, but I like to use some watered down Iridescent medium. Just bring it on with a brush and heat set it.

Look at all that shimmer..... love it!!!

Add some Frayed Burlap to the left top of your tag. Distress and ink your edges.

stamp some images ( I used the postcards stamps from Tim Holtz) at the right top and bottom, using Archival ink.

something like this.

Add some Puffy Paint in the white stamped background to bring extra interest.
let it dry for half an hour and heatset it.

Take your cardboard heart and add some puffy paint to it. after you heat set it, you can add some gold metallic paint and some distress ink to make it a little more grungy.

Take your chipboard or grungeboard hingie and paint it by mixing gold acrylic paint and Iridescent medium.

you might need 2 layers. This is a hingie from 3TailsCraft

Take 2 medium size flowers or make your own like I did. (tutorial for these flowers can be found here)
Stamp your calender tag or print one out. Distress the edges.

Get all your embellies out and start building your tag.

I dressed up my hingie by glue-ing down a little rose and a iridescent bead.

You can, of course, give the rose a little inking.

glue your pearls to your heart embellie, using your hot glue gun.

Glue a flower to your cardboard heart and finish it of with some tiny leaves and wrapped around twine.

Take your stamped calender and glue it down together with your second flower, at the bottom left of your tag. Glue a scrap of lace across the bottom. And glue your cardboard heart to your tag.

Glue your hingie, a little overlapping, down to your tag using hot glue gun.
glue some beads down. I glued mine down using hot glue but glossy accents will do the trick also. Add a little lace at the top and your are finished.

Using my flowers

Thank you all for your lovely comments, on yesterday's post.
It is so fun to read that you are gonna give those flowers a try yourself.
If you happen to have any questions about the tutorial, feel free to ask.

What I wanted to add... Is that the layer of Gesso... is to firm up the
petals. Your babywipe will be easier to cut, this way.

I used some of them on my next page

I first started with this lovely sheet of Pink Paislee, Parisian Anthology line,
which I gave a little white washing, with watered down Gesso.
I then stamped on in with my text stamp, using archival ink.
Then I painted a rectangle, with peeled paint crackle paint. On top of that I painted another rectangle with Gesso. Placed my picture and flowers.
Here are some close ups: (if you click on the pics they will show up much clearer)

I added some puffy paint to that lovely aqua Prima flower, and layered a handmade flower on it. The little rose was first sprayed with glimmermist and then I tipped it, with a little crackle paint.

The letters are white Thickers which I stamped on (lightly) and sprayed with glimmermist. also added a few spots of crackle paint, to blend in with the background.

For the big white flower.... it was actually a red, Prima, one... I added several layers of Gesso and heatset it up close... blow a few bubbles in it (I know that you normally shouldn't do that, but I liked it) the last layer I added diamond dust and some glitter in the wet Gesso, let it air dry.

That bubbly wire, is just regular wire (which you can find in the home department store)
I mixed puffy paint and peeled paint crackle paint together and brushed it on the wire. Got it all covered up and heat set it for the puffy paint to puff. Then shaped it, using my paint brush handle. (liked it a lot!!!)

These clear treasure's I got from Angelica when I bought something from her Etsy store. she added them as a little thank you gift. (thank you Ang!!)
I glued them on the lace using my hot glue gun.

Really... these flowers... I just love them. So I want to thank Romy, for mentioning them.

Flower tutorial

How come, doing this tutorial:
A few friends and I were chatting away, when it was Romy who pointed us
at the new uploaded projects of Ingvild Bolme
and Romy esp pointed out, the flowers Ingvild used on her cards. Because she loves them to pieces!!! So... I went off to Ingvild her blog and started searching for these flowers, cause Romy said.... Ingvild had something to do with designing these Gorgeous Corine Collection flowers. Me.... who loves creating flowers, thought of using baby-wipes for the petals, and that is... how this tutorial came to life.

Anyway... here's what you need:
supplies needed: baby-wipes - aluminium foil - brayer - Gesso - distress inks (any color you want) - Puffy paint - crackle paint (I used peeled paint) - heatgun - thread (you might wanna use some waxcoated thread) - scraps of cardstock - hot glue gun - tweezer - black acrylic paint - glimmermist or iridescent medium.

Before you can get to work:
Take a baby wipe and let it dry completely, before you color it.
You can color it with distress inks or mists, what ever you want.
After coloring, let it airdry.

Take a piece of aluminium foil and add a medium layer of gesso to it

Get your colored babwipe and place it over the layer of Gesso.

Get another piece of aluminium foil and place it over it. Kinda like sandwich it between the layers of aluminium foil. Brayer it. (yes.... mine is not a fancy one...lol)

now get your 1 side coated baby wipe off of it and let it dry completely.

here comes the fun part:
You can now start cutting your petals.
I fold my baby wipe a couple of times, before cutting.

Get your puffy paint out and add it to your petals, let it air dry for an hour or so

Take your heatgun out and heatset the puffy paint.

You might want to use your tweezer to hold the petals. If you heat it just a LITTLE longer the petals will start shaping a bit. Don't heat it too long, or your petal will burn.

For the stamen I used regular thread, (wax coated is perfect for this) which I cut in pieces. Dip the ends
in a mix of puffypaint and, color of your choice, crackle paint. (I used peeled paint)
heatset the ends of your thread.

repeat this step for as many stamen you want ( I used 5 pieces of thread, which give me 10 tiny stamen)

Cut 2 small circles. don't need to be perfect. and punch a hole in one of them.

Get a couple stamen together, and stick them through a little circle of cardstock.

Glue the ends at the bottom

Place another little cardstock circle on top.

You have now created your base for you flower. (you may want to cut the ends, that are sticking out)

Now glue your petals to your base.

You can add some dimension... by glue-ing a row of pearl strand first to the base,
something like this:

You can give your flower a light shimmer by using glimmermist or like I did, using some Iridescent medium.

The little black spots on the petals:... I made, using my tweezer, dipping it in black acrylic paint.

and your done!! Aren't they cute??

Anyway..... This post will contain my solution for the storage
of your ink foam-pads... these things were in bags, in buckets... nothing worked or me.
So ..... with my guest design kit from MCS I created this storage.

reveal day at MCS

was Yesterday, but I didn't get to posting on my blog.

It was my last month of Guest Designing for MCS, cause I've had and AMAZING offer, which I can not share YET! But... I'm VERY EXCITED about it!!!!!!

I absolutely loved working with the Limited Edition Kit
It was absolutely loaded with lots of gorgeous products!!!
Again, I will split the posting, cause I have so many pictures to share.

First a page of little me when I was about 18 month's or so.

The papers in the kit were awesome for some vintage pictures.

next a page of Megan on an ordinary day

I absolutely love these papers which were amazing for fussy cutting, and with your tiny-est scraps you can puch out, lovely flowers and use them on your page as well.
A 3rd layout is another one of Megan. I know I scrapped this picture before, but
it is one of my favorites of her.

I first hand draw a heart, which I cut out with my exacto knife. (still have the heart and will do another page with it.) I glued lace to the backside of my paper. behind that paper I used a white piece of cardstock, on which I did some masking using the BG Doily paper.

And since it is almost Mother's day I created this card.

That's it for now, I'll be back soon with some more.
I'm off packing for 2 days camping... yahhhh

Hello there,

It is time to share my monthly tag and to be honest....
I just love the way it turned out.

okay... here we go:

supplies needed:
Ranger Craft tag 8# - old bookpage - tacky glue - chipboard birdcage and a bird - gesso - white puffy paint - spray bottle with water - distress inks: antique linen, weathered wood, tumbled glass, vintage photo, peeled paint, rusty hinge - versamark or clear embossing ink - Archival ink in Coffee white embossing powder - heat gun - hot glue gun - Windsor & Newton Iridescent medium - Clear stamps: Prima Marketing script and Viva Decor - pearl beads - organza flower - calender - foam dot - ribbons.

1. Take your tag, glue, and old bookpage.

2. add glue to your tag, something like this.

3. place your bookpage over it, press it down a little and set away to dry.

4. take your birdcage and paint it with gesso. Add a little white puffy paint. When you heat the puffy paint with your heatgun, it will really puf.
I got this birdcage in a goodie bag from Faye.
It is from 3TailsCraft

5. take your, bookpage-covered tag, and spray a little water over it.

6. pull the loose bookpage off of your tag. till you are left with something you like.

7. add some antique linen distress ink in the middle of your tag.

8. then add some weathered wood to the left side.

9. you can even add some tumbled glass distress ink for more color.

10. stamp some flourishes in versammark and use white embossingpowder. heat set it.

11. mix some gesso with water and give the left side of your tag some white wash coating.

12. mix some iridescent medium with water and add that to the part you just gave a white wash coat.

13. look at all that shimmer.......

14. I used this Prima clear stamp, which came on a pre stamped accetate. by moving the accetate around you can see where you want your stamping to come and how much you want to show.

15. I used painters tape to select my part of the stamp. of course masking tape will do the same.

16. inked it up with Archival ink.

17. get the tape off your stamp before you stamp it onto your tag.

18. stamp a border on the bottom of your tag, using Archival

19. stamp some leaves at the rigth side of your tag using peeled paint distress ink.

20. stamp your calender and distress it. Also get a ticket out and distress that one too.

21. Get a flower out

or make your flower, after this tutorial : Rosies Tutorial
22. To perfectly place your pearl center, I add a cocktail pricker into my bead

23. add a dot of hotglue into the center of your flower

24. place your bead into the glue.

25. Make some danglings from pearl beads and attach your dangling beads to the bottom of your cage.

26. Get all the embellishments onto your craft sheet and start building.

27. glue your birdcage to your tag.

28. put a foam dot at the backside of your bird.

29. place it onto your tag.

30. glue your flower at the bottom right.

31. shape your calender

glue it to you tag.

32. get some ribbon out. I didn't have orange, so I made orange ribbon by adding rusty hinge distress ink onto my craftsheet

sprayed it a little with water and twirled the ribbon in it,

till it is all covered. you can heat dry it.

33. arrange your ribbons for your tag.

34. I add this little tim holtz embellie as finishing touch.

it is Friday again.

We have been dealing here with a few setbacks.
I already told you that my laptop died. We ordered a new one and it came
yesterday. 2 days ago, our fridge died on us too... (16 years old)
so another big expenditure had to be made. BIG BUMMER!!!! really!!!

On a brighter note... I got my kit from MCS and I really love all those gorgeous products. I have made 1 page already, but of course I can not share till release date.
And I had a little play with the goodies Faye sent me.

On the last 3 I did however, add some stuff from my own stash.

My kit is on it's way and boy... I can't wait till it is here.

Yeah... I managed to get my pictures off of my laptop (so scared here)
so here's altered photo box I created with my April LE kit.

anyway... I wanted to have an album about the DT and GDT.

I also created a little mini giftbox, which could hold a gift-card or money or something

Just a quick post from me today, Noooo I'm not in Paris!!!
I'm typing this from a sunny Holland. lol But since I love that warm sunshine on my face, I would like to enjoy it just a little bit more.

Faye send me, another package with goodies, which contains lasercutes and chippies.
Among those goodies was this lovely Eiffel Tower. I combined it with the Gesso technique I showed on my monthly tag and this is how it came out:

Hello April, Hello Spring.

It is time to my monthly tag again, and I tried to keep this one simple but elegant.

supplies needed:
Manilla tag - Gesso - Distress inks: Bundle Sage,Vintage Photo,Frayed Burlap & Peeled Paint.
Tacky Glue - hot glue gun - glossy accents(for glue-ing metal parts)
calender stamp - old bookpage - spray bottle with water - tule - flowers - some beads
stickpin - wire - twine - needle and tread - heat tool - blending tool

Get your tag out, some Gesso, a brush and some netting.(I used some netting from oranges)

place your netting over your tag and tape it down with some craft tape or painters tape.

Now pounch with your brush, the Gesso all over your tag. It is okay if there is a thicker layer in some spots. It only will leave extra charm.

while your netting is still over your tag, and the Gesso is still wet, you could sprinkle some glitters over it. (optional)

I used Glamour Dust from Deco Art.

remove your netting. Dont you just love that texture?!!!!

heat dry the Gesso.

Swipe, with your Bundle Sage distress inkpad, over your craft sheet. spray some water over it and press down your tag in it.

It comes out something like this:

You can repeat that step for more color.

To add even more color, take your blending tool and apply more Bundle Sage ink to your tag.

Wipe with a little damp cloth, carefully the color of the Gesso.

Get out your tacky glue and an old bookpage.

Apply glue, at the left side, to your tag like in the picture below

Get your old book page over it, press it down a little, so that the glue
will spread a little. Let it air dry.

In the meantime, you can stamp your calender and
create your flowers. You can find a tutorial for these flowers HERE

(I changed mine in color and added some white puffy paint to the edges of the rose)

After your book page is completely dry, spritz it a little with water

Make sure it is pretty wet.

gently rub off the acces, till it looks something like this:

Distress your edges with a scissor or edge-distresser and ink them up.
I used Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap.

now, to create some tulle leaves,

get a piece of tulle 4.5" x 2" and color this with Peeled Paint distress ink.
let it dry for a while

cut it in 2 parts.(2 leaves)
to make your leave, fold one part double like in the picture.

fold the edges towards the middle and get a needle and tread (maybe that should be the other way around)

run it through both layers. something like this

pull the tread and give it a few stitches.

shape the leave with your fingers. Again with the second part of tulle.

I had this idea after I had seen a rosebud tutorial by Lisa Gregory.

Now here comes the fun part!!!!!!
get 2 stems or little pieces of wire and shape them. (I use a cocktail pricker for this) some twine, (wrap it into 2 circles) a stickpin, or like I did a big glass bead and make a stickpin of it, and 3 metal spacers or pearls whatever you like.

glue everything down with a hot glue gun, after your own liking.
if you are glue-ing down metal parts, it is best to use glossy accents.

I add some Iridescent Medium (by Windsor and Newton) to give it
that extra little bit of shimmer. You could also use some diamond stickles for it.
add your ribbon to the top, and your tag is done.

Sorry for not posting lately, but I was busy for my Guest Designing, for
My Creative Scrapbook. The sneak peeks are up in the forum so if you want to
take a peek, look HERE

I also worked on a project for my brother (who turned 50 years old)
Here's the story behind this project.
I asked my brother if he had special wishes for his birthday. Something nice that I could get him. He answered me, gave me a choice between 4 of his wishes.
1. He would like to get a house in a fancy neighborhood
2. A diamond ring
3. A window cleaner (on call)
4. A bottle of sticker remover (cause someone had glued balloons to his car)

Well obvious.... any of the things he asked for, was no option....lol
So I created him this wall hanging, which looks like a card, and inside of it
we put a lotto ticket. (hope he wins a BIG PRIZE)

and in the middle of these dangles, is a diamond ring.
I wrote a little story on the inside about the window cleaner being on vacation and stuff.... anyway.... he liked it. Now all I hope is that he wins. BIG TIME!!!

EXCITING NEWS!!!!

I have some very EXCITING news to share with you.

I'll be Guest Designing for My Creative Scrapbook (MCS)
for the month April. whoooohooooo!!!!!!

I can't wait for the kit to arrive and getting started with it.
Hopefully it is here soon!

I wasn't much blogging lately, but I did create a few cards, which I will share today.
Also I took my window curtains down, after the cat and dog had a fight.
No one won, no one lost.... except me.
They tore down my curtains. (which I should have taken down wayyyyyy earlier)
Oh yeah... I must love my pets deeply, cause they didn't get grounded. If my girls would have ripped my curtains.... I would have grounded them!! But what to say to your pets??? uhm......

anyway.... I cut my curtains up, (which look like voile) in little petals. Run the edges through a tea light and colored some of them, using Distress inks.
I love the way they came out. Here are some of them:

pretty huh?!!! Some of them still need to have centers.

The next card I created for a very special lady. Hope it gets to her soon.
Sorry for the bad pictures... I run out of light and well....

I got this lovely spray of flowers from Angelica her Etsy shop. She makes the most gorgeous flower vines.

Then the next card I created for Kees his niece.

I first stamped these Hero arts flowers in Versa Mark on my tag and used a white embossing powder.Then I stamped my flourishes over it using Weatered Wood Distress inks. I put some stripes of glue at the left side and add an old pice of bookpaper. After it dried I carefully wettened the book paper and rubbed off the excess, which left me with this outcome.

The next card is made, using up some older stash and my scraps.

These are some very old chippies from Making Mamories. I Gesso painted them and on the negative I sprinkled glitter, on the heart I sprinkled Diamond Dust.

This flower is one of the ones I made from my curtains.

And this last card is a very simply one

I first stamped the butterfly in Versa Mark and clear embossing powder, on white cardstock. Heat set it. Then masked my butterfly and stamped over it with this old script stamp from prima, using again, Versa Mark and Clear embossing powder. After I heat set it and let it cool, I inked it up using Distress ink in Black Soot. let it dry for a minute and wipe your embossed stamping clean with a baby wipe. Stickled the edges to let it stand out a bit.
I dressed up the doily a bit using liquid pearls and stickles. The flower is one I made of my curtains.

Take a walk......

Gentle Leader.....

I HAVE A DOG!!!
Her name is Dasha.

A very sweet and caring dog!
I love her to pieces.
EXCEPT....

when we are outside, taking a walk
THEN........

She is THE MOST
BAD - NOT LISTENING
living being on the planet.

This morning... I felt so ashamed!!!

She always pull so hard, that
it is almost impossible to
keep her in control.
Especially when she see's other
people walking across the street.
And I'm not even talking about
when she see's another dog!!!
She doesn't want to harm them, she
just wants to play and snuggle
...WITH EVERYBODY!!!!
Young - Old - bikers - dogs...

She always RUNS towards them and
she pulls ME along. Flying behind
her like, I'm her shadow.
(can you picture it??)

This morning she had me floored, as
she saw another dog.
I know I know... it sounds
HILARIOUS.....
but is was NOT!!!!!
Whilst I was lying there on the ground
she was playing with another labrador
and I didn't want to let go, so
she runs around me and....
well.... you get the picture.

The lady owner of the other labrador
knew exactly what I needed.
She told me, that she has had
that same problem and that there
was a solution.

REALLY???????

I was all ears!!!!!
Then she told me about the Gentle Leader.
And how it would train the dog to
walk nicely beside their bosses.
(uhm... is that possible???)

And WHY didn't I met this lady
ANY SOONER??????

After I apologized and thanked the lady,
we walked home. I immediately googled
for the Gentle Leader and rang to our
local Pet store, see if they were in stock.
They were! Yes!!!

I put on my jacket and prommised Dasha (dog)
that when I came back, I would bring
something nice!!!!
he hee (evil laugh)

When I got home, I had to adjust the
bindings and voila... we were ready to go out.
At first she jumped and crawled across
the street.

(now THAT was hilarious)

She was totally surprised.
But... I got her going after bribing (sp)
her over with something yummie.
She did AMAZING!!!!!

I have never ever had such a fun walk
with my darling Dasha. She was the
BRAVEST dog EVER!!!!!

So THANK GOD for the
Gentle Leader.... and for that lady.

any way... enough rambling....

I wanted to drop off these cards.

I think that this last one
I going to be send to that
lady. She changed something

March Tag with photo tutorial.

Hello everyone,

It is time for my monthly tag,
and I decieded to do another
photo tutorial on it.
here it is:

I just love the texture on this tag.
anyway... here we go

Supplies needed: Ranger Craft tag 8# - Gesso -
Archival jet black - Clear embossing powder -
Flourish stamp - Text stamp - Calender stamp -
sentiment stamp or rubons - sandpaper -
brushes - ink blending tool -
Distress ink: Bundle Sage, Victorian Velvet,
Frayed Burlap - Diamond Stickles -
Tulip Puffy Paint white - 3 Butterflies -
Zig glue pen - glitter - tule -
little piece of ribbon - 3 tiny roses -
rhinestones - pearl strand - Tiny Attacher
and your Hot glue gun.

First we take our tag and flourish stamp.
Ink your stamp with Archival jet black and
stamp your image in the bottom right corner.

Cover your stamped image with clear embossing powder
( you have to work quickly since Archival is quick drying)
and heat set it.

It should look as shiny as in the picture.

Take a small amount of Gesso and put it
on your craft sheet.

Water it down a little, till it looks like youghurt.

Cover your entire tag with the watered down gesso.
if it leaves some texture, please let it. It gives
it only more charm. heat dry it, and let it cool.

Get your sand paper out, and sand over the stamped
image. Don't sand it all the way through.

Tear a corner off of a paper towel and use it
to positioning your text.

Stamp with your text stamp over it, using Archival.

It should look something like this.

Use your Bundle Sage Distress ink, to color the bottom right corner.

Use your Victorian Velvet and color the top and left side of your tag.

It should look something like this.

Distress your edges with a edge distresser of scissors.
Ink your edges with Frayed Burlap Distress ink.

It should look something like this.

Get a small amount of Diamond Stickles on your tag
and spread it out over your tag.

It looks something like this.

Get 3 butterflies out. You can use punched out butterflies or
like I did... 3 lasercut butterflies. Ink them up.

looks something like this.

Get 2 small amounts of white Puffy Paint and mix
one with Victorian Velvet and one with Bundle Sage or Peeled Paint distress ink.
Pounch it onto the butterflies with either your finger or a flat brush.
Heatset it. The puffy paint will start to puff.

They will look something like this.

Then applie some liquid glue onto the wings of the butterfly
and sprinkle your glitter over it. if you don't have glitter,
you can use diamond stickles over the wings.

They come out something like this.

Stamp your calender.
and cut 2 strips of tule. (1.5 inch by 8 inch)

Glue one strip of tule at the top right and ruffle it up.

Something like this.

Glue a scrap of ribbon over it and glue 1 of the butterflies
on top of it using your hot glue gun.

Glue the other strip of tule at the bottom left.

Distress your stamped calender and staple it onto the tag.

Get some rhinestones (I used square ones) and glue some
onto your calender and at the top as the butterfly's trail.
Also get some extra gesso to the tag, at the spot where you
want your sentiment to be, for extra texture. Heat set it
upclose so that you blow bubbles. Let it cool down.

Get your tiny roses and cut off their stems. Don't throw them
away, we gonna use them later. Color 2 of the roses.
Get some more rhinestones and a piece or pearl strand
and glue it down at the right bottom of your tag.
Glue the other 2 butterflies together at the body parts, and
glue them down, right above your calender.

Curl your stems and tone them down a little using Gesso.
Glue them to the back of your calender.

It should look something like this.

Get some pearl strand and glue it around
your ribbon at the top.

Get your sentiment stamp, ink it up, using Archival
and stamp it onto your tag.

It should look something like this.

Your tag is almost done.
Get some ribbons, after your own taste
and run them through your tag.

Our Dasha turned 1 today and she
means so much for our family!!!
I could never have thought of
the love she gives. She always
is so thrilled when she see's us...

bestest friend a person could
wish for.

swapp together and I posted the
card I recieved from her, but not

yeahhhh it's friday

and longing for some sunshine.
The weather has been dull the
last couple of days. We even had
snow this week.

I've been cleaning out some
of my stash. Thrown away my
tiny scraps. And anyone who
know me, knows that I love
my scraps, so it was hard to
part with it. I kept the bigger
scraps tho......

Had to make a few thank you cards
and I safed my cut out circles, from
an earlier card, so I wanted to use
them as well.

first up
a thank you card and some close ups:

I added a layer Gesso to the top
of the card, and heated it up close
to blow some bubbles. Let it cool down
and it creates some awesome texture.

a gift from Faye, so Thank you girl.

That little metal embellishment is
a piece of toy. In fact it was a
crown for Barbie, but it was broken
so I used it on this card.

just another quick post
from me today. Life has
been very hectic this last week
since my daughter had to have
and immediate surgery. She is
on the mend now, but nursing over
her is of course a little
time consuming.

anyway... I wanted to show
you how I used 2 of the laser-
cuts, Faye send me, to work with.
so here is the card I made with them.

I love this vine. you cut cut it up and
use it in little pieces, or use it
in one piece. I cut up mine.
I used crackle paint on it.

I first painted the butterfly with gesso.
Then when the gesso is still wet,
I sprinkled glitter over it. Then I used
puffy paint with a little drop or
worn lipstick distress reinker. mixed
it together and brushed it on the butterfly.
let it air dry for 30 minutes and
heat set it. It will start to puff.
I also added some green crackle paint.

I didn't wanted to change a thing, on
this laser cut, cause this color
matched perfectly with the rest of
the colors. So I just glued it down
using glossy accents.

Hello everyone.
I hope you all had a lovely
Valentine's Day.

Today I can share the card
I made for my dear friend Tracey
her birthday. She let me know
it has arrived so.... here it is:

I created 2 identical dangles, which
when she takes them of the card, they
can be wearable as ear-rings.

And then....

I got some HAPPY mail today.
Faye contacted me, and had this
great idea of doing a card swap.
And so we did. Today I recieved
a package from her and wow!!!!!
I was blown away at the beauty
of her card. So very elegant
and gorgeously rich in detail.
I'll show you, so can see for
yourself.

Beautiful, isn't it.
And here some details:

Don't you think this is gorgeous???
I love all the sparkle and the way
she did the butterflies.
And here's the inside:
(I'm still wondering what she used
for that gorgeous mat)

She also added a bunch of
laser cut goodies, which I
totally adore.

Happy Valentine's day

And Happy Birthday
my dearest Tracey!!!

I just have a quick tag to
share with you today.
The colors in the pictures
are a bit off... sorry for that.

For this tag I used a Ranger
Manilla craft tag. I colored it
with different shades of pink and red
Distress inks. I stamped on the tag
with some old metal folie, using Archival,
and I glued the metal folie, at the bottom
of this tag, behind the hearts.

I added white Puffy paint to the left side
and heat set it using my heat tool.

This little dangle is home made and the spray
of pearls at the right side are glued
with my heat gun.

For the texture I added Rock Candy
Distress stickles and sprinkled
Diamond Dust over it. then let it dry.

The tissue tape behind the hearts
is home made. I used painters tape
and stamped on it. I have to give
FULL CREDIT to TRACEY for this idea.
She came up with that during the
TH 12 tags of Christmas. So.....
Thank you Tracey! You are
such a clever crafter!!!!
I also added some texture to the
left bottom using Rock Candy Distress
stickles and Diamond Dust.

I created these hearts out of
cocktail sticks. Made them a little
wet before I start shaping them.
added Puffy Paint and heat
set it.

I glued a little piece of the ribbon-roses
and added some stickles and tiny pearls.

Then there is something I really would
like to get of my chest:

Tim Holtz does.
I did it, because I was asked too.
I have the greatest respect for Tim, and
I learned so much from his tutorials.
I think he is one of the most
brilliant thinkers in the world.
For me he is like the Master, who
is so sweet enough to teach us all.
And I would like to say a BIG
THANK YOU!!!!!! to him.
I really admire his skills.
He is like an Einstein for crafting,
He only looks wayyyyyyyyy much better!!!!!!!

Just a quick post

cause we are getting company over.

It is Kelly her birthday today, so
busy busy!!!! She is already 20 years
old. mennn time goes by, in a blink.

anyway
I want to share my latest page.

I created this page for the
something old / something new
challenge, over at MCS.
And yes... I like that topic
since we are used too collect stuff
and buy in bulk. lol
here it is:

The picture I used is an older picture
of Ashley. I guess she was about 14 years
old. She is 17 now. Gosh.. they grow
so fast!!! This picture is one of my
favourite pictures of her.

I had these 7 Gypsies paper laying
around for quit some time now, and
also the piece of canvas is an older
one from Prima. (got printed words on it)
I flipped it over and added a layer
Gesso to it, to create even more texture.
then I tore, my paper and I made some
cuts around the silhouette of the bird,
cause I wanted to stand out a little.
I placed pop dots underneath.
I rubbed that little birdie with
Rock Candy Distress stickles to alter
it a bit, and to add texture.
Cut some twine in pieces and colored it
with Distress ink. (walnut stain)
then glued it down as a branch.
In the lower left corner, I used
Rock Candy Distress stickles and
I even sprinkled some Diamond Dust over it.
Too bad it doesn't show very much in the picture.
I cut the little butterfly out of the paper
and added Rock Candy Distress stickles to
it wings. sprinkled a little glitter over it.
The flower in the bottom right corner
(it is an older one from Prima)
I cut it apart and cut the petals a little smaller.
Some of the stamens came of and I took 2 of them
to glue them down to the back of the butterfly,
as antenna. Gave the butterfly a body using some
string of pearls. The flower in the top left corner,
comes from a faux flower string, it originaly was
a white rose. I rubbed it with Rusty Hinge
Distress ink and spritzed it with water. Put
a little baby rose in the center.
The lace is (I believe) from an older line
of Prima Marketing. For the cluster at the left top
I inked the lace up with Rusty Hinge Distress ink.
The pearl strips on the sides is something I had for
a long time and is from KaiserCraft.
The tiny Alpha stickers ( I have them forever)
are from Making Memories. The bigger letters
were silver glittered letters. Don't know
which brand they are. I painted them with
brown acrylic paint and sanded them
just a little.

For the new stuff... hm let me think
I used my new hot glue gun... does that count??
Oh and also the my new TH tiny attacher.

Now, I got a question to
explain step by step how
I complete a tag, so I gave
it a thought and thought
why not???

so here we go:
I'll first show you the picture
then below the picture there is
how I did it.

products list:
Ranger Manila craft tags #8 size
Script stamp - Calender stamp (or printed out)
Archival in coffee (or any other brown permanent ink)
Distress ink: Victorian Velvet - Bundle Sage - Scattered Straw - Frayed Burlap
Ink blending tool, or any other ink foam.
Stickles: Diamond - Mini Minster filled with water - heat tool - gesso -
Maya Road chipboard frame - glitter - tulle - lace - paper towel - hot glue gun
flowers - leaves - stapler or needle and thread - pearl strand

here is what we start with

Swipe with your distress inkpads, Bundle Sage and Scattered Straw,
over your craftsheet. (if you have none, a placemat will do just fine)
swipe them in vertical direction and leave a little space
in the middle. (I'll show you on a white piece of paper)

The colors are hard to tell when they are
sitting on your craftsheet.

then spray it with water from your mini mister
and lay your tag in it.

Turn it over and heat dry it.

it should look something like this.

now, take your Victorian Velvet inkpad and
add a little stripe on your craftsheet, spray with water.
place your tag in it, the pink ink should come in the middle
of your tag.
turn it over and heat dry it.

take a paper towel

tear the corner off.

lay the corner over your tag and ink up
your script stamp using Archival Coffee.

Stamp on your tag, like the picture shows.

re-position the paper towel corner

ink up your stamp again and stamp on your tag.

it should look something like this.

then ink up your stamp again (only the bottom part)
and stamp it at the top of your tag.

it should look something like this.

cut a piece of tulle

To color your tulle you swipe over your craftsheet
with Victorian Velvet inkpad, spray it with water

get your tulle covered up with the color.

carefully dry it with your heatgun.

assemble your tulle and staple or stitch it down
to your tag.

take some lace and add it to the bottom of your tag.

get your chipboard frame and take them apart.
the middle section will get a thin layer of gesso.

for the outside frame: Dab gesso over the chipboard
with your finger.

it should look something like this.
then while the gesso is still wet......

sprinkle glitter over it, let it air dry.
When you don't have glitter, you can use diamond stickles.
of course you'll have the frame dry first, before you
applie the stickles.

it should look something like this.

Place the frame elements back together

glue the frame down with hot glue, or
any other strong hold glue. I only glued the bottom
so that it stands more out.

place your flowers and leaves as you like.
You can spray your flowers with a glimmermist
for extra glimmer. I used dazzling diamonds.

stamp your calender, and distress the edges.
Ink the edges with Frayed Burlap.

ink the backside too

crumple it up

get it unfolded and add another layer ink
using your foam tool.

glue it down to your tag.

For the sentiment you can write it down or
use rubons, or stamps. I used little tiny
alpha stickers from KaiserCraft.
Distress the edges of your tag,
(using your paper-distresser or like I did,
using your scissors)
and ink them up using Frayed Burlap.
your tag is almost finished.

Place your pearl strand, (I created a swirl)
and glue it down with hot glue or
Glossy Accents. Get some ribbons out,
and attach them to your tag.

This is me, when I was 10 months old,
These pictures were taken in 1971,
in the home where I was born.

I started out with 2 pieces
of white cardstock. On the first piece
I stamped several images/text with
Versamark and I used white embossing powder
and heat setted it. Then I added several
colors of Distress ink. ( bundle sage - tumbled glass -
scattered straw - peeled paint and stormy sky )
Then I used the same stamps again, only this time
I used pumice stone - black archival and peeled paint.
My pp came out gorgeous,( at least, I think it did)
that's why I took many pictures,
in the hope you'll pick up the colors.

On the second piece of white cardstock I added
a layer Gesso and stamped in the wet Gesso.
(see picture below)

I added some color using glimmermist and let it dry.
Then stamped my Hex Net in black archival.

For the chipboard piece, (Dusty Attic) I cut it in 3 pieces,
dabbed gesso on it with my finger and then
sprinkled some glitter while the gesso was
still wet. let it air dry.

These flowers were hand dyed, using distress inks
and some perfect pearl mist. Then I added some
frosted lace stickles.

I really love the texture.

The title was hand written, on some
painters tape.

So.... anyone
can make their own patterend paper.
I really like to use stamps and this
resist technique.
